NextX Car Club can trace its roots back to 1999 when a group of local auto enthusiasts attending SCSU decided to form a car club.
The original founding members, Tyler W., Luke O. and Heath W. decided on the name High Rollers. This crew was a mixture of domestic and import cars. When the founding members started getting deeper into the import scene they decided on a name change to X-Rated Car Club.
In the early 2000’s when the import scene blew up, the rides took a lot more effort and money to get them to a respectable HP level. The club continued to grow and expand rapidly to include some of the fastest imports in Minnesota and the Midwest, which at that time were 11 second runners.
Around 2006 the founders started batting around a name change and a handing over the reins to Justin H., Tyler A. and Cory K. For the next chapter in X-Rated. Next X was settled on. The X from the original group was carried through to the current logo. Now entering the 18th year of the club, the original members couldn’t be happier to see what it has become today. We have hosted an annual car show and donated all the money to local charities. To date, we have raised over $6,000 for local charities. We thank everyone who has donated!
